The AquaDom & Sea Life Berlin are two aquarium attractions rolled into oneas one…in the middle of Berlin.
In Sea Life Berlin visitors first embark on a voyage of discovery through an amazing underwater world of lakes, rivers and the open sea. Visitors follow a logical journey from the river Spree to Lake Wannsee, onward to the coast and then out into the deep ocean, with displays recreating habitats from the Atlantic and the North Sea.
Spectacular displays teeming with creatures of all shapes, sizes and colours can be enjoyed at the Sea Life Berlin. About 4.000 fish and other marine creatures can be discovered in the 1.800 square metre attraction. A centrepiece is the mighty ocean tank, with its walkthrough, transparent tunnel where sharks and other fish swim just inches away, alongside and overhead.
After the Sea Life journey visitors can enjoy a spectacular elevator ride in the AquaDom – the biggest cylindrical Aquarium in the world. The AquaDom contains one million litres of water – enough to fill your bathtub every day for the next 18 years. Thirty-three tons of salt are needed to turn Berlin tap water into seawater. In this spectacular tank visitors float through tropical reefs and admire 1.500 assorted tropical fish.
The AquaDom & Sea Life Berlin are opened from 10 am till 7 pm daily (last entrance possible at 6 pm).
